Feeling blessed after performing rudra abhishek at home...

in india •  5 years ago
hello friends, how are you ...?? I know many of you like the Indian culture n traditional. Today i would like tell you about the Srivaachan or Rudra abhishiek. It was organised in my home on last monday as it was last monday of sawan. The month of Sawan is considered to be the best month in the year for the worship of Lord Shiva.
Rudrabhishek means Abhishek or bath of Lord shiva. It is the destroyer form of Lord Shiva , it is believed that all kind of distress, pain, troubles and death will be removed. To please the Lord shiva, abhishek is the best solution in Vedic System.

This is temple in my house, having many portraits of gods, fully decorated with red rose petals, gods wear the green colour clothes, green is found to be the lucky colour in sawan and also green is considered to bring wisdom n prosperity. Chanting of mantra gives you postive energy, calm n peaceful mind and removes all your worries.

This is the aarti plate decorated by me. It is decorated by flour dough, orange marigolds flowers n pink rose. As Arti is a small flame from a wick or diya fillup with ghee(mustard oil) which is placed on a plate as you can seem above and waved in front of god in circular motion. In indian ritual aarti performed to express love, respect and gratitude to a god, and also it's light that removes all the negativity n darkness.

Lord shiva prayed in the form of a Linga which is directly made out of mud is more divine and pure. After the puja all the lingams or mud are put in the river. Rudra abhishek or bath of lord shiva is done with milk, honey, curd, sugarcane juice n ganga jal etc. It is the very effective n affordable pooja.

After the bath of lord shiva, we do make up or shrigar of him. If you zoom this picture, then you will see the shrigar or decorated with cashew, apply a sandalwood sandan tilak on the Shivling. It is said that it keeps the idol cool and pure. Shivling wears the pangdi on head which make him more beautiful. It's surroundings is decorated with the variety of flowers.

we offerd prasand, it means sweet offered to lord during worship, The offering is then distributed and eaten by the worshippers. This small is sweet is offering to god, then distributed to everyone as blessings from god.
I really enjoyed everything is done in this pooja. Even i felt extra peaceful n Energetic after chanting the mantras, even i also learned alot about the god shiva..... i'm really feeling extra blessed... thankyou god for everything....
