When I was a child I used to go to the bank with my grandmother. The experience would take up a whole day as we would wait in line, fill in lots of paperwork (there would be mountains of mountains of that!) and in general a lot of back and forth with bank managers in order to accomplish a small task - like depositing a cheque. Today I went to do the same thing (this time sans grandmother) and found the process only slightly less stressful thanks to technological developments. Below are photos of a typical day at an Indian bank.
