A Hand Grinder in Indian Village

in india •  7 years ago

Today I want to present you the hand grinder of India. Usually in Indian Village we use this hand grinder for doing all the grindings. You can see the below pulses which we call as Moth and Moong are grinded using the Chakki (Hand Grinder).

We take pulses in small quantity and drop it to the middle of the Chakki and then run it anti-clockwise or clockwise until the grinded pulses come out from the between.

My mom doing the grinding as you can see she is using one hand to put the pulses whereas other hand it to run the chakki.

Very good post. No body had thought of posting the pics of such rare old items used in Indian cooking, so far.!!

Thanks @geetharao, I am staying in village for a while now. So I could see these things regularly :)
