गुरुजी ने कहा ‘‘जहां गुड़ खल एक ही भाव है उस गांव में
नहीं रहना चलो आगे चलो, शिष्य ने कहा गुरुजी मैं तो थक गया
हूं। यहाँ ही ठहसंगा। गुरुजी ने कहा तुम ठहरो मैं जाता , सुनो
रात को जागते रहना और कोई पूछे किसी चीज के लिए तो कहना
मुझे पता नहीं । ऐसा कह गुरुजी चल दिये ।
पाँच मील दूर जाकर ठहरे । इधर गुड़खल खाकर शिष्य निक
सो गये । रात को वहां चोर आये और शिष्य का जूता पहन गये तथा
राजकुमार को मारकर खजाना से जेवर लेकर आये । पहने जूते वहीं
छोड़ गये। सबेरे राजमहल में हा-हाकार मच गया। पुलिस चोर के
पैरों के निशान देखते हुए मन्दिर में गयी । वहां जूते पड़े थे शिष्य सो
रहा था पुलिस ने जगाकर कहा यह जूते किसके है । शिष्य ने कहा
मेरे हैं, तुरन्त उसे गिरफ्तार कर राजा के सामने पेश किया। राजा ने
