Being famous is everyone's dream and only few get to achieve it. While some get famous for the right reason, there are some who are in news for the wrong they did. However, positive recognition is good, but what of people know you not for your work, but for a decision that you took?

This is about Tina Dabi, a Indian 2015-2016 rank IAS officer who stood ahead of her batch by scoring the highest marks and was awarded the top most rank. The country was proud of her like they would every year be of any other topper, but that's not that makes Tina Dabi famous.
Tina made a decision to marry her batchmate who is also the 2nd rank holder of the batch. Well, if you are wondering what's in that? Then it was not an easy decision for Tina that too in India where a Hindu Muslim alliance is considered to be an offence. Tina, a dalit, got married to Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan which made the country go bonkers. The media had nothing to talk about apart from this wedding. Would it be a news if she choose to marry someone from the same caste? I don't remember any other IAS rank holder getting married.
Why unnecessary publicity. I am not against Tina getting publicity. Her rank is not what everyone can score, so let's make her famous for that. There are hundreds of other hindu's who get married to Muslims every years, what's the fuss in that.
I wish India media understands and makes effort to get more important news.
a tough woman. Their marriage, hopefully no misunderstanding between the two parties. @samysamy
