Mother Yashoda used to tell stories to Lord Krishna while he was going to sleep. Lord Krishna would often fall asleep in the middle of these stories. One day, Mother Yashoda was narrating the story of Ramavatara:

● “There was a prince named Ram.”
Krishna, while sleeping, indicated with a “hum” that he was listening.

“His wife was Sita.”
Again, with a “hum,” Krishna signaled that he was listening to the story.

“They lived in Panchavati on the banks of the Godavari, when Ravana abducted Mother Sita.”
Upon hearing this, Krishna exclaimed,
“Hey Lakshmana, my bow, my bow, where is it?”

May the Lord’s anxious and eager voice protect us all.
