Telangana planning on blockchain implementation

Apart from cryptocurrency implementation, blockchain technology has a lot of other use cases. Just look at steepshot, instagram on blockchain. Who would've thought. Blockchain technology can also be used in governing bodies where in data can be protected against being tampered by any unauthorised personnel or corrupt personnel.

Soon, everything is going to be on the blockchain, and there was a news that India will be launching its own cryptocurrency called Laxmi coin, which later proved to be a fake news. So, is the Indian government implementing anything on blockchain at all? There's no news from the central government, but the Telangana government has started evaluating the application of blockchain technology to secure digitised revenue and land records,

"We are keen and trying out blockchain technology to bring transparency in land registration. By using blockchain we have embarked upon pilots in our state for a strong foolproof security cover," Principal Secretary (Information Technology) Jayesh Ranjan said addressing 'GAMBIT', a conference on "Bitcoins and Domains and Gaming Space" here.

It's great that Telengana is got its sleeves up when it comes to blockchain, but it doesn't come as a surprise because Telegana has always been front-runner when it comes to technological developments, in fact I heard it's easier for a start-up to do business in Telengana than in Bangalore, the Silicon City of India.
