Traveling to the Mumbai for the first time...here are five must-visit places in Mumbai

  1. Elephanta Caves - Recognised as UNESCO World Heritage site, located on Elephanta Island, 2Km offshore the city of Mumbai, Near about one hour by ferry. The caves have five Shivite caves Dedicated To Hindu God Shiva and few Buddhist stupas and also a small group of two Buddhist caves with water tanks. It has 120 steps, hand carriages are also available for the person who cannot climb. Ticket fare is 40 INR for Indians and 600 INR for foreigners. While climbing up to the caves you will find amazing and variety of shopping stalls on both the sides of steps its absolutely fun journey...!

2.Aksa Beach - Are you looking for a popular, most silent and very clean beach. Here is the answer. Aksa beach is most silent beach and a popular holiday destination. It is also very budget friendly. Located 9 Km from Malad station and take 40 to 45 mins around to reach the spot. Once reached, do try the very famous chacha ki chai. Nothing like that...

3.Marine Drive - The most famous Marine Drive is a 3.6-kilometer-long Boulevard in South Mumbai in the city of Mumbai. It is a 'C'-shaped six-lane concrete road along the coast, which is a natural bay. At the northern end of Marine Drive is Chowpatty Beach. This is a popular beach famed for its Bhel Puri (local fast food). Best time to visit during sunset the view is mesmerizing. You can spend a full night there as lights there shining like stars and its soo beautiful. You will definitely have one of your best moments there. People come from all over India and the world to celebrate the New Year.

4.Haji Ali - Built in the memory of muslim saint Haji Ali. This mosque located in the middle of the sea with an only narrow path leading to give it ethereal look. As per tradition, separate praying rooms are available for ladies and gents. Dont forget to try the famous Bombay Sandwich on the local stall in the nearby area.

5.Mount Mary - It is Roman Catholic Basilica located in Bandra, Mumbai. Also known as The Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount and the feast is celebrated here on the first Sunday after 8 September, the birthday of the Virgin Mary locally known as Bandra Fair.
