Hello Steemit Friends,
What a year it has been for Indian Cricket. Returning home undefeated beating Srilanka in Test(3-0) ,ODI(5-0) and T20(1-0) on its recent tour to Srilanka , India all set to play 5 ODI and 3 T20 against Australia starting on September 17 this Sunday. It is a bi-lateral series of Australia tour to India 2017 where the first match will be played on MA Chidambaram Stadium ,Chennai, India.
This is going to be one hell of a series with Australia ranking 2 and India ranking 3 as per ODI ranking. Coming to T20 ranking India holds the position 5, followed by Australia with the rank 6.
Let’s have a recap of Ind vs Aus bilateral series history played in India
As of now there have been 7 bilateral ODI series between India and Australia with Australia leading with 4-3 leaving behind the host. Ahead of the five-match ODI series starting from September 17, here's a recap of those from 2009/10 to 2013/14.
Australia in India 2009-10 - It was a 7 match ODI series where Australia won 4-2(1 match was abandoned due to bad weather )
Australia in India 2010-11 – It was 3 match ODI series where India won 1-0 (1 match was abandoned due to bad weather)
Australia in India 2013-14 - It was 7 match ODI series where India won 3-2 (2 matches were abandoned due to bad weather)
I don’t remember much about the earlier one, but yes I remember each moment of 2013-14 series. The best series I have encounter so far. It started with 1 T20 where India beat Australia by 6 wickets. Then the war began with ODI. Each match was nail-biting, where both team saw a high scoring affair with score 300 commons with both team batting first. Do you remember Rohit’s 209 ?Do you remember Virat’s back to back century? Do you remember Watson century? Finally do you remember Faulkner hitting Ishant Sharma where every ball sailed out of the park? Now get ready for the same adventure.
Let’s have a look at the squad :-
On September BCCI announced squad for first 3 ODI where the selection committee was led by MSK Prasad. Shami and Yadav were brought back leaving behind Thakur .Dhawan to miss first 3 ODI due to his wife's illness. Ravinder Jadeja and Ashwin has been rested again for this tour, and it didn’t go well with former Captain Mohammad Azharuddin.
Mohammad Azharuddin said, "I can understand if both Ashwin and Jadeja are rested for the Sri Lankan series. But when India are playing against a team like Australia, your best spinners should be used. After all, you are playing at home and on wickets that suit them. They should have been given a chance to play the Australian series."
Even Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina were left behind and it didn’t go well with the audience question and bashing BCCI with the help of social media.
India Squad - 1st, 2nd & 3rd ODI: Virat Kohli(c), Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami

Players to watch out for:-
India:-
Virat Kohli – Ohh man, what a player he is, no words to describe his ability, tops on my list holding Rank 1 as per ICC ranking in ODI.
Rohit Sharma – Unorthodox is the word I would say for this guy. Hitting double century twice, really?Insane
Hardik Pandaya – He is the best all-rounder India has as of now. He has the ability to send the ball out of the park and take crucial wicket too
Jasprit Bumrah – He can play vital role in picking wicket both in early and late overs. The way he changes his variation and speed, his Yorker ,best bowler of India as of now.
Australia :-
David warner – Ranks 2 as per ICC ranking just after Virat. A power hitter ability to change to game in early overs.
Steven Smith – What a creative player he is. Captain of the Aussies ,he has some outstanding performance against India.
Pat Cummins- Probably it would be a slow track here in India, but I can bet on him when it come to picking up wicket. He has some fabulous performance when he played for KKR during IPL.
Glenn Maxwell- I love this man. Whatever may be the situation you can see a smile on his pace. Hitter,Hitter,Hitter give him any ball and he will send it out of the park . It would have been a good watch to see Maxi vs Ashwin, bur unfortunately latter is not is the squad ,busy with his country cricket in England.
Expecting a lot of runs again this series but it'll be tough for the Aussies to take down this India team at home. I reckon India win series 3-1

Yes India are the favorites ,as Ashwin and Jadeja been rested ,it will be good to see if young spinners (Axar/Kuldeep/Chahal) be able to attack Australians or not.

The pitch will play a massive part, I haven't seen many photos of it yet. India will be too good and sweep Australia without a loss in the one day internationals. I believe Sharma for man of the series with a ton and 3 half centuries. Up-voted and followed

I think it will be a toe-to-toe series.Even Australia is good enough to beat India in Indian soil .Most of Aussies play IPL, so track will won't be that issue.
