The telecom sector in India has seen a major change since the arrival of Reliance Jio. Phone calls have become free, data has become dirt cheap, and even tariff plans have come down drastically. If you’re a user who doesn t need a surplus amount of data, and free calls, there are prepaid plans to fit these needs. Even under Rs 50, you can get free calls, data and more. Here s a look at the best-prepaid recharge plans under Rs 50 from Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Jio and BSNL.

Airtel Rs 35, Rs 47 prepaid plans
Airtel recently announced new prepaid combo recharge plans priced at Rs 35, Rs 65 and Rs 95 with free data, talk time and more. There is also Rs 47 plan that was launched earlier with similar benefits. The Rs 35 plan offers a validity of 28 days, and 100MB 3G / 4G data. The plan also comes with a talk time worth Rs 26.66, with local and STD calls charged at 1p/sec. For now, this plan is only available in Tamil Nadu, UP West, and Punjab.

The Rs 47 plan, on the other hand, is an open market plan available in all circles. Users get 28 days validity, 125 calling minutes and 50 free SMS. The plan also includes 500MB 3G / 4G data.

Vodafone Rs 47 prepaid plan
Vodafone also has a plan similar to Airtel, with the exact same benefits. Under this plan, users will get a validity of 28 days, 50 free SMS, and 500MB 3G / 4G data. In terms of calling benefits, the plan includes 7,500 seconds of calling, which is essentially 125 minutes. These calling seconds / minutes are valid for all local and STD calls.

Reliance Jio Rs 49 prepaid plan
Reliance Jio did shake up the telecom landscape in India, and it clearly leads in terms of benefits. The Rs 49 prepaid plan offers unlimited local and national calls without any FUP. It also includes 1GB 4G data and 50 free SMS. And as in case with other Jio plans, this one too offers complimentary access to Jio suite of apps which includes JioMovies, JioTV, and JioMusic. There is one small catch though, this plan is only available for JioPhone users.

BSNL Rs 19 prepaid plan
Lastly, state run telco, BSNL, has an affordable prepaid plan priced at Rs 19. This STV (special tariff voucher) is only available in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles. It offers a valid of 54 days. However, while other operators offer free calls, data and more, this plan is basically a rate cutter. After the plan is activated, outgoing on-net calls to BSNL numbers will be priced at 15 paise per minute, whereas off-net calls to other networks will be priced at 35 paise per minute.
