Every couple who have married certainly wanted and crave a happy life, peaceful, prosperous, full of peace and that often said the life of sakinah. However, not a little family life which is bound on the culture of materialism, ruled by lust, anger, envy, resentment, and other hatred that has implications for disputes, fights, splits, or physical violence and mental that ended tragically with divorce and even murder. Therefore, This research directed to answered that question by knowing the provisions of the Qur’an about family education, formation of sakinah family, the relevance of the value of Islamic education with the establishment of sakinah family as well as the process of internalizing the values of Islamic education in the form of sakinah family. This research was the library research with the approach of tafsir maudhui. Primary data was Al-Qur’an and Tafsir, and secondary data was hadith and relevant books. The result of this research, namely: First, the provisions of the Qur’an about the family education contained in the Surah At-Tahrim verse 6, where Allah commanded to the head family to instruct his family to pray seriously and patient in it. In the holy Qur’an surah Maryam verse 55, Allah commanded the man about the education of prayer that is required to every parent to teach his children. The family education also contained in surah Ash-Shu’ara verse 214, Allah commanded the prophet Muhammad SAW to avoid all things that can invite the wrath of Allah, and give warnings to the nearest relatives without favoritism. Material family education that explained in the holy Qur’an to be a staple lesson, namely: aqeedah education, religious education, and moral education. The methods that can be used by the husband to educate his wife and parents to children is the method of an exemplary, advice, question and answer, demonstration, deliberation and discussion. Second, Islamic values which can form a sakinah family was contained in surah Al-Baqarah verse 248 mentioned sakinah is a quite place, comfortable, safe, and conducive. In surah Al-Fath verse 4 mentioned there is a peace that is deliberately of Allah put into the hearts of the believers. In surah Ar-Rum verse 21, Allah created wives from among yourselves so that you feel peaceful and there is a sense of compassion. In surah Al-A’raf verse 189, Allah explains that a human, both men and women is one. Third, the relevant value of Islamic education with the establishment of a sakinah family though the values of equality and partnership, the value of awareness needed the couple, where the husband and wife should need each other not only in the field of physical but also spiritual. Fourth, the process of internalization the values of Islamic education in shaping sakinah family begin with choosing a spouse, husband knows his responsibility, raise a family, provide religious education and harmonizing in the family.
