Indonesian Government debt was Rp3,825.79 trillion. Within a month, debt increased Rp45, 81 trillion, compared to the amount in July 2017 which amounted to Rp Rp3, 779, 98 trillion.
In US dollar denomination, the amount of central government debt in August 2017 was US $ 286.55 billion, up from the end of July 2017 position of US $ 283.72 billion.
Most of the government debt is in the form of debt securities or Government Securities (SBN). Until August 2017, the value of SBN issuance reached Rp3,087.95 trillion, up from the end of July 2017 amounting to Rp3, 045 trillion. Meanwhile, loans (both bilateral and multilateral) were recorded at Rp737.85 trillion, up from July 2017 of Rp734.98 trillion.
