Dian, Male or Female?

It's brief about mine.

In #Indonesia, 'Dian' is the name of a woman. Because this name has been famous in advance by some actresses and singers eg #DianSastrowardoyo and #DianPieshesa. So when one mentions the name 'Dian' in Indonesia, it is usually regarded as female.

Ever an event, I introduce myself by the name 'Diyan' with via phone or social media. The first time the other person called 'Mbak' (female call name in Indonesia). This incident not only once but repeatedly. Even if acquainted directly, the look on the face of the other person as if shocked (due to the mistaken woman, was physically male)

Therefore since 25 years ago (1992) I affirm to others that not only women who use that name. And start on this day too, please for the first time if you meet someone else who uses the name of the Dian, please see first do not immediately mention 'Mbak'.
