Batik adalah salah satu seni budaya kebanggaan bagi bangsa Indonesia. Untuk mengabadikan hal ini pemerintah menetapkan tanggal 02 Oktober adalah hari Batik Nasional. Pada tanggal tersebut banyak orang-orang, baik di lingkungan formal dan informal yang mengenakan dress code batik.

Untuk tahun ini masyarakat Indonesia sangat pantas untuk berbangga karena pada tahun ini batik Indonesia masuk museum Mancherster United. Seorang warga Purwekerto yang bernama Valentinus Fun adalah orang di balik kisah batik hebat ini. Karena dialah batik indonesia (batik Papringan) dipajang di old trafford stadion kebanggaan Club Mancherster United.

Valentinus merupakan salah seorang dari empat orang pemenang event Chevrolet Fan Cup. Sebagai ganjarannya Valentinus berhak untuk mengunjungi markas klub sepakbola Manchester United. Pada saat acara gala dinner, valentinus menyerahkan cendera mata berupa batik dengan logo Manchester United. Tanpa disangka, oleh petinggi Manchester United diumumkan bahwa batik tersebut akan di pajang di museum Manchester United.
