Malin Kundang is a kaba originating from the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. The legend of Malin Kundang revolves around a rebellious child to his mother and is therefore cursed to stone. A rock form on the coast of Air Manis, Padang, is said to be the remains of the ship Malin Kundang.
