(short story): Barbie

Mikela is so popular in her school, a 17-year-old girl is tall, straight hair and her face is different among her gray-white friend. Like Barbie, Mikela is the center of attention and magnet for every boy in her school. Although notable among the students, Mikela isnt a girl who is picky with friends, she is very friendly and sociable. Friends and teachers love it, like the romance story of a Barbie must be a couple. Penta also includes the most popular, handsome, athletic, basketball and rich guy. He is like Ken side by side with Mikela the Barbie
But from all that something make Mikelas eyes continue to look curious, that's Sarmin a name out of nowhere. It begins the announcement of the results exam entire school semester, in the top rank there is Sarmin.
"Who is that Sarmin, Kela? How come I just know, what kind of a kid? "asked Kantil is Mikelas friend.
"I dont know Kan, I just found out. This is in the first rank" Mikela replied with curiosity.
"Well, this Sarmin beat you ..hi..hi" kekeh Kantil again
Mikela did not reply to Kantil's sarcastic, She look out to class window with dreamy eyes. Mikela is a smart stundent in her class, always ranked one. Math, physics and biology are her favorite. The goal is to become a doctor, a smart brain that proved first semester she was ranked 1 at entire school. Her friends are wondering that Mikela will continue the tradition the following term. But this Sarmin broke it all, who is he?
"Sarmin must be a bookworm, wearing heavy glasses and happy to be alone in the library drowning by reading thick books .. hi ... hi" teases Kantil to Mikela.
This is what makes Mikela curious, why she could lose from Sarmin. Is this less learning or less hard to listen to lessons? Her brain thought hard.
"I must find out this Sarmin" whispered in his heart
She is begin browsing and hunting info around his school, ask gardener, security guard or part office school. They all only show if looking for Sarmin, look to the canteen but not explain the characteristics of Sarmin.
Arriving at the canteen, Mikela was like a dog to sniffing for Sarmin's scent. Perhaps the talk of Kantil is true, surely this Sarmin with thick glasses and introvert guy at the end of the cafeteria.
Every man with glasses and reading a thick book, Mikela asked
"Are you Sarmin?"
"Do you know guy who have name Sarmin?"
All the bespectacled boys just shook their heads in ignorance or not Sarmin's head. The scenery became a spectacle all over the cantina, a beautiful girl looking for Sarmin.
Last time Mikela was tired of searching for Sarmin, behind there was a pat on her shoulder.
"Hi, are you looking for me?. My name is Sarmin "
There was an ordinary guy with no glasses, a bit of a long hair, brown skin and his mouth always grinning like a disheartened bloke.
"Ih ya really dirty guy" in Mikela's heart, talking in front of him. Already ilfil first, Mikela did not answer even go from the canteen.
Sarmin's picture is very different, but he get rank 1 school. Aih ..

"Sarmin is son canteen's owner, according to my friend's info often there because of his auxiliary help" explained Kantil giving info about who it is Sarmin.
"He is an orphan, his father was die 3 years ago" she added.
"But Kan, if you see the guy..aduh its teribble" amused Mikela indeed he is not picky friend but if dirty no way !.
"Ha..ha ..whatever Kan, Sarmin is cassava boy and different not like Penta who eat cheese"
It is true the word Kantil, Sarmin it is not rich people like Penta or handsome face even under the standard but why he can become a champion. The curiosity continued.
"I should know his secret"
Finally the next day, he came back to the Canteen and saw Sarmin helping a middle-aged mother to sell gado-gado.
Mikela ventured to get closer.
"Hi, I'm Mikela" the first introductory sign while holding up her right hand.
"Hey you girl that yesterday .. he .. he" laughing Sarmin cheerfully without replying greeting Mikela.
"Oh dear this guys is very really annoyin" Mikela wry laughter in the heart.
"Sit down ...are you Mikela ?...just relax" Sarmin invited to sit on the cafeteria bench.
"What do you want to drink? I'm a treat, free"
"No need Min, I just want to chat"
"Okay, so please," Sarmin said, ruffling his hair.
From there start a light conversation is flowing, Mikela seems to be mistaken that Sarmin is nice to chat from light to heavy. A lot of jokes that make Mikela laugh, and she feels never met a guy like Sarmin.
He make Mikela comfortable and dont get it from Penta, her own guy. Finally every day there is always a meeting between Sarmin and Mikela intensely even ignore Penta itself.
Once one night, Sarmin came to her house all of a sudden with a surprise.
"Hey Kela, what are you doing ?. Here I bring martabak beard for you "
Sarmin who was in front of the door of her house.
"Min, how come you know my house?" Mikela asked astonished
Sarmin is not answered but immediately sat on Mikela's porch
"Usually a guy loves to give a flower or a doll to girl, but I give Martabak beard if you dont want.. yeah.. I eat alone, so I dont lose anything .. ha .. ha" Sarmin laugh.
Mikela thinks he's a crazy guy, its like she and he become lovers even if there are no words.
"I know you have a boyfriend Mikela, he is not angry if I come here. I'm not rival for him .. he .. he" gives the reason once again.
Mikela does feel Sarmin is not a rival to Penta, but the other side of Sarmin's uniqueness that makes him fall in love, can make him laugh and comfort with him. Kantil, her best friend warned not to play fire because Mikela already had Penta the most popular guy in school.
But in the heart Mikela feel upset and confused, the status is indeed Penta makes her like a queen. Spoiled by Penta, ride a car, go to a movie theater or eat in the restaurant but it's all usual for her. But with Sarmin, she felt something else. Sarmin isnt from rich family but knowledgeable, smart and humorous even if he is not look handsome from Penta.
That's what Mikela is even more intimate with Sarmin than Penta, with Sarmin being able to share everything and respond to Sarmin intelligently.
On the other hand Mikela's words say "Do I have to be cheating?"
