I meet someone at The Pawn's coffee shop. The location is adjacent to Simpang Surabaya, Banda Aceh. The tables in it still seem to be empty. This shop does not feel lonely. Strains of music from two hard loudspeakers. Pop genre of music. The rhythm is pitiful.

In front of the shop, a collection of focused fathers looked at the checkerboard. Their faces look serious. Above the board stood pawns in the middle of his king's pawn. Yup, they're playing chess. The player is only two people, but the audience on the side appear to scratch with the sound of players missteps. They also sometimes laugh when the unseeded player devours the opponent's pawn. After climbing one step, each of them undergoes a timer.
Maybe some of them are chess athletes. There were three little bags on desk. Written Percasi (All-Indonesia Chess Association) on them. The most FISHING is when they laugh freely. In their teammate team like that they can still be happy to meet with friends. Doing something they love.

We used to see the old guys spending their time at home, or not too energetic anymore. When we look at the old man laugh, which his hair is white, his skin is shriveled, the jets from creating us are also happy.

The one thing people look for in this world is happiness. From small to large teachers, the celebration calls us to pursue the happiness of life. Happiness is not always dating from matter. Like the happiness shopping coming from the game of chess. It's a cheap game, but not twopenny. There is energy and thought that emitted players.

Back to the old man's topic, no one can forbid others to be happy. In principle, happiness is fast, we will give whatever we have today. As a young generation it is appropriate to respect the the old guys. They do not need the material from us, while receiving the words carefully enough to satisfy their hearts. They better understand how life in the world goes. They are already feel sour, bitter, and the sweetness of life. Somehow, seeing the old guys laugh freely, life is feels lighter.

Orang Tua Tidak Dilarang Bahagia

Saya memenuhi janji saya untuk menjumpai seseorang di warung kopi The Pawn. Lokasinya berdekatan dengan Simpang Surabaya, Banda Aceh. Meja-meja di dalamnya masih nampak banyak kosong. Tapi warung ini tidak terasa sepi. Alunan musik berdentuman dari dua loudspeaker keras. Genre musik pop. Iramanya pilu.

Di muka depan warung, kumpulan bapak-bapak fokus memperhatikan papan kotak-kotak itu. Wajah mereka nampak serius. Di atas papan tersebut berdiri pion-pion yang tengah melindungi rajanya. Yup, mereka sedang bermain catur. Pemainnya hanya dua orang, tapi penonton di samping nampak menggaruk-garuk ketika pemain salah langkah. Mereka juga kadang-kadang tertawa lepas saat pemain yang diunggulkan melahap pion lawan. Setelah naik satu langkah, masing-masing mereka menekan pengukur waktu.

Kemungkinan beberapa di antara mereka atlet catur. Terlihat tiga tas kecil di atas meja lain tertulis Percasi. Singkatan dari Persatuan Catur Seluruh Indonesia. Yang paling mengesankan adalah saat mereka tertawa lepas. Di usia mereka yang senja seperti itu mereka masih bisa bahagia bertemu dengan teman-temannya. Melakukan sesuatu yang mereka cintai.

Kita biasanya mengenal orang tua suka menghabiskan waktunya di rumah, atau tidak terlalu energik lagi. Ketika melihat orang tua, rambutnya sudah putih, kulitnya sudah mengerut, pancaran kesenangan dari wajahnya membuat kita juga merasa bahagia.

Satu hal yang dicari manusia di dunia ini adalah kebahagiaan. Dari kecil hingga besar guru-guru, orangtua menyerukan kita mengejar kebahagiaan hidup. Kebahagian tidak selamanya dating dari materi. Seperti halnya kebahagian yang dating dari permainan catur. Sungguh itu permainan murah, namun tidak murahan. Ada energi dan pikiran yang dipancarkan pemainnya.

Kembali kepada topik orang tua tadi, tidak satu pun ada yang boleh melarang orang lain untuk bahagia. Pada prinsipnya kebahagiaan itu sangatlah murah asal kita menghargai apa yang kita miliki saat ini. Sebagai generasi muda sudah sepantasnya menghormati orang tua. Mereka tidak butuh materi dari kita, melainkan mendengarkan seksama ucapannya cukup memuaskan hati mereka. Bagaimanapun, mereka lebih paham bagaimana kehidupan di dunia berjalan. Mereka sudah merasak asam, pahit, dan manisnya kehidupan. Entah mengapa, melihat orang tua tertawa lepas, hidup ini terasa lebih ringan.
