Red Light

By @ayijufridar

AZAN maghrib has just reverberated in the Baiturrahman Mosque of Lhokseumawe, Aceh (Indonesia). The traffic situation at Simpang Empat, just next to the mosque, is busy. It's always like people chasing something before maghrib. Maghrib prayer time is narrow, but that does not mean everyone is busy so as not to miss prayers. If you want, why not just stop and pray together in the mosque.

The red light from the east lights up. The rider from Jalan Pang Lateh moves forward. But suddenly a motorcycle driven by a man with a woman carrying a three-year-old kid weaved in from the east. Obviously, he had to stop because the red light was on.

II. Writer Block

New home for the Fiction Workshop, plus others

As I mentioned in my post YESTERDAY I am no longer part of the Minnow Support Project. Neither is the Fiction Workshop or its core membership. The fiction workshop, and therefore @sft, have a new home where business carries on as usual: work can be submitted for critique, themes and ideas can be worked on and all things fiction discussed with the friendliest bunch of people you could ever wish to find.

@rhondak, @bex-dk and @carolkean are still on board, lending their immense experience and expertise, along with the rest of the talented team. In addition we have a poetry workshop headed by @geke and @sunravelme and a playwright workshop, headed by @pegasusphysics. We also have a non-fiction workshop to help with other topics that don't fall under the umbrella of the other disciplines. @gmuxx

IV. Family

What we did while you sleeping.. 🎮💤

The interwebs got twisted and a glitch wiped 20mins off our stream replay..
So once little man was down for the morning nap, Mom and me got down and dirty LOL! @kenistyles

V. Blockchain Charity

Blockchain Charity account LAUNCHED TODAY: 1st project #helpbali2017

Due to the growing number of donations arriving in my personal account for the Bali volcano evacuees I have created a dedicated account @charitysteemit which is using the tag #helpbali2017 to gain visibility & involvement.

I have done this for the following reasons:

  • First and foremost, to raise funds for much needed SOLAR KITS in the growing number of camps without power.
  • To achieve 100% clarity & visibility for all STEEM & SBD donations.
  • To give an up-to-date & accurate feed of information on our current situation in Bali.
  • To incentivise the writing of further posts which can potentially find themselves trending due to the topical subject matter. Meaning that you can benefit and so too can the people of Bali, if you follow the procedure listed below.
  • To build awareness of the POWER of STEEMIT in facilitating future emergency fundraising.
  • To show how simple it can be to personalise this dedicated charity account to fit any cause and utilise the numerous benefits of Steemit & the Steem Blockchain.

Thank you everyone! This is how the world will learn about the awesome power of Steemit! @samstonehill
