Ketikaku berjalan dipantai keseorangan
Terlihat perahu tua terombang tak bertujuan
Dihayun gelombang ganasnya riak sang lautan
Hidup tidak bertujuan bagai perahu yang tak bertuan

Bagaikan hilang keteguhan dalam dirinya
Umpama hidup insan yang tak berpegangan
Angin timur ia ketimur, angin barat ia bawa kebarat

Hidup umpama perahu ditengah lautan
Hilang tujuan andai salah arah haluan
Ilmu harus jadi amalan kehidupan
Andai petuah guru jadi sebagai pedoman

Ialah nakhoda penentu haluan
Pembimbing insan dari kesesatan
Agar hilang bimbang dan keraguan

Perahu nelayan ditengah lautan
Senantiasa berkayar andai teguh pendirian
Angin topan badai gelombang tak ia hiraukan
Sebab nakhoda hidup berpengalaman

Hidup didunia umpama perahu dilautan
Arah dan haluan ada yang menentukan
Andai karam pecah dihantam gelombang
Itu takdir Tuhan yang menentukan
