Tiang tiang jembatan ini menjadi sebuah saksi pada 13 tahun yang lalu, yaitu tepatnya pada hari minggu tanggal 26 desember 2004. dimana gelombang besar yang sangat dahsyat menghantam kota banda aceh. Melalui jembatan inilah saya berlari menyelamatkan diri dari bencana alam tersebut.
