Baduy

Baduy tribe is a group of indigenous Sundanese in leuwidamar district, Lebak district, Banten with its local wisdom, we can take many lessons about the balance of life.

Baduy community itself is divided into three groups, tangtuy (inner Baduy), panamping (outer Baduy), and lifetime (outside Baduy). Baduy people prefer to call themselves as urang kanekes or the kanekes people. This designation refers to the name of their place of residence, in the foothills of the kendeng, kanekes village.

Baduy tribe has the belief that keeping nature is an obligation, so it must be obeyed with full submission. This rule continues to be maintained from the first until now.
