Teuku Umar as a Hero of Aceh and a National Hero is well known. The full name of Teuku Umar Djohan Hero, whose ancestors came from Minangkabau, Datuk Makudum Sati, a hero born in Meulaboh, West Aceh, in 1854, is known as a magician. Very shrewd and expert in the tactics of war.
