Walaupun kejadian ini sudah 2 bulan yang lalu tetapi ada yang unik dipelaksanaan MTQ Provinsi sumatera Utara pada November silam di Kabupaten Dairi. Walaupun berita ini sudah lama, ada hal yang mengusik pikiran saya. Kenapa perhelatan aca keagamaan dalam hal ini lomba membaca Quran tetapi diketuai oleh orang Katolik. Sesuatu yang luar biasa kalau saja hal ini terjadi dirmh Aceh, dan tidak akan masuk akal acara agama Islam dipanitiai oleh orang Katolik. Sangat memprihatinkan.
Sebelum acara ini saya ketemu tokoh MUI (Majelis Ulama Indonesia) dan muslim, saya diminta kesediaannya mereka bilang akan membantu dalam penyelenggaraan ini," kata Sebastianus, yang juga Sekda Kabupaten Dairi, saat berbincang dengan wartawan.
