Infertility. It is a really sucky thing to experience. Infertility is diagnosed when a couple has been actively trying to get pregnant for over a year, without success.
This is where my husband and I find ourselves, about to embark on the journey of fertility treatment. After thirteen months of holding out hope for those elusive two lines which mean you are pregnant - and instead receiving the blow that another month has passed without success, we are going to a specialist later this month to explore other options.
I admit, over the last year, I have become obsessed, forever researching every little temperature drop and possible symptom. Bleeding gums, and feeling queasy? I must be pregnant! (Nope!) Editing my diet and lifestyle, holding out hope for my miracle baby. Scrolling through story after story about women, who like me, suffer endometriosis, who finally were able to fall pregnant, wishing for my turn to come along.
With infertility comes a barage of unsolicited advice. The most annoying advice people give you? “Try not to think about it or stress it” Um, easier said then done when it is the thing you want most in the world, and especially annoying to hear when those giving the advice accidently fell pregnant at nineteen and now have a basketball team’s worth of children running around, all accidents of course!
But nevertheless, I have decided to take the advice on board and give myself a distraction, hence here I am in the Steemit world. Getting back to writing through blogs on here and also writing my first book!!!
Given there are so many women around the world suffering inferility I feel it is important we are vocal about it & how it makes us feel so we can band together so as not to feel alone in the process, as once you have been trying for a while, it begins to feel like there are babies everywhere except in your arms. So over the course of my blogs I will try to be as honest and open about my experiences and journey and hopefully hear about other’s journeys too!
i been through this and i want to know people experiences about this ..
