حلول أرجنتينية لمواجهة التضخم: إلغاء عدد من الوزارات

أعلن الرئيس الأرجنتيني، ماوريسيو ماكري، اليوم الإثنين، فرض ضرائب جديدة على الصادرات، وإلغاء عدد من الوزارات، في محاولة لمواجهة الاضطرابات الاقتصادية التي أدّت لتراجع عملة البلاد لأدنى مستوياتها.

وقال “ماكري”، في بيان متلفز، إنه سيخصص مزيدا من المساعدات الاقتصادية، وسيدعم الخطط الغذائية للأرجنتين التي تعاني الفقر، وتضررت من الارتفاع الشديد في معدل التضخم.

تأتي خطوة الرئيس، في وقت يحاول فيه خفض العجز التجاري للبلاد، وركود الأسواق.

ودفعت الأزمة الاقتصادية التي عصفت بالبلاد، إلى رفع أسعار الفائدة لأكثر من 50 بالمائة لمواجهة التضخم، ووقف انخفاض قيمة العملة.

وانخفض البيزو (العملة المحلية) إلى أدنى مستوى له على الإطلاق 39.2 مقابل الدولار الأمريكي، الأسبوع الماضي، قبل أن يصعد قليلا اليوم الإثنين، إلى 38.5.

Argentine solutions to address inflation: the abolition of a number of ministries

Argentine President Mauricio Macri announced on Monday new export taxes and the abolition of a number of ministries in an effort to counter the economic turmoil that has brought the country's currency to its lowest level.

In a televised statement, Macri said he would devote more economic aid, support food plans for poverty-stricken Argentina, and be hurt by the sharp rise in inflation.

The president's move comes at a time when he is trying to reduce the country's trade deficit and stagnate markets.

The country's economic crisis has pushed up interest rates for more than 50 percent to counter inflation and halt devaluation.

The peso fell to a all-time low of 39.2 against the US dollar last week, before climbing slightly on Monday to 38.5.
