Yesterday I talked about end-to-end encryption, this is for those who don't really know how it works!

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is a communication system where only those who communicate can read the exchanged messages.
In principle, it prevents wiretapping, including by telecommunications providers, Internet service providers and even by the communication service provider. With end-to-end encryption, no one is able to access the cryptographic keys needed to decrypt the conversation.
End-to-end encryption systems are designed to resist any attempt at monitoring or falsification, as no third party can decrypt the data communicated or stored.
In particular, companies that provide end-to-end encryption services are unable to provide a decrypted version of their customers' messages to the authorities.
But the Australian governement want to force publishers to establish invisible parallel access through data synchronization on a device controlled by law enforcement or a phantom member in conversations.
So that they can even read end-to-end messages... Will privacy become an utopia in the futur?
