May you live in interesting times...or in Pittsburgh!

Pittsburgh is responding to the mass murder at a church in Ignorance! they have decided to fix their heart problem, by blaming the hardware! The city of Pittsburgh is proposing an unconstitutional ban on semi-automatic weapons.

Meeting on gun legislation:

First, the maligned AR15 is the one they state in this ban. This is the least offensive of all the rifles. A pump 12 gauge shotgun would have killed more victims. A lever action rifle would have killed more also. The AR15 round is grossly under powered; and is a poor choice for defensive uses, just too damn light. It is a boogie man, and an empty shell!

Second, if they ban AR15, it does not change the heart, only the weapons used. Evil people can still decide to kill others, remove the AR15, and they will use a bomb, or a molotov cocktail. Many more would die in this case. It is NOT a hardware problem!!

Thirdly moral relativism is the core issue; it is a crisis of conscience! As long as one person can twist their thinking and justify, in their own mind, killing others; we will see mass murders! All this does, is ineffective as it only changes the method of killing, without changing the hearts, where the murder lives!

This looks like a bad political move, liberals should not believe their own feces!
Hundreds protest, and promise legal challenge to Pittsburgh:

This is counter to federal and state Law, and is strongly opposed by the Pittsburgh Public.
The district attorney has threatened the Mayor and the city council with arrest if they vote for this law:

This proposed law would be overturned at great legal expense to the city anyway, so it appears to be a grandstand political play! Well, you Know we tried as hard as we could....

howdy sir smithlabs! yeah you got something right for a change, it ain't a hardware issue. What do you think the standard rifle for the military should be?

6.5mm Creedmore on an AR Frame. That way, you can just change the uppers, and save a lot of money, while significantly increasing the fire power of our individual troops.

The 5.56 has never been a good combat round, and was selected in ignorance, for untested reasons.

I have had a lot more engagement on weku, than on steem.

ok, well I'm not familiar with Creedmore, is that just the bullet brand name?
And it's similar to what, the .308 or something more like a real battle rifle?

it is a calibre (0.264 inches) but it has enough bullet weight to carry the energy, unlike the 223 round. It is available on the AR-15 frame right now. Ballistically it much better than the 223, while avoiding a totally new battle rifle redesign! Good round, low cost cutover, top choice!

I have a 6.5mm Swedish Mauser, that I took a deer at over 450 yards, with one shot. The 223 is 55 grains of lead, the 6.5mm I shoot is 129 grains of lead!

I personally like the M-14 in 308, but that cost would be massive.

sir smithlabs, the AR is such a light weight rifle, wouldn't it kick if it had the Creedmore round?

It is a shorter round than my 6.5mm. Not much kick, an AR is a girls gun anyway! I am building a couple of more, got parts coming.

I may do an AR10 (308) just for fun.

Here is a good place for parts:

what the? sir smithlabs..you're building AR;s even though you don't like them?

Yes, just to piss off the liberals. I teach kids to shoot; and an AR is a good kids gun.
