This joke I have heard many times before and had come to take it seriously, but when reviewing, it seems that it is a humorous question.

It is true that there was a woman called Thecla of Iconium (in ancient Greek, Θέκλα (Thekla)) whose history and events are recorded in an apocryphal book that placed her in a position of proto-Christian martyr, for which she is revered as a saint among Roman Catholics and Orthodox.

But it happens that in the saints registry the patronage of this saint what we have is:

Italian towns of Este, Mirto, Osimo, Santa Tecla (Acireale). Sitges, Tarragona (Spain). Santa Tecla (El Salvador). Llandegla (Wales). Of those with bone cancer.

So, I was left wondering if there was a figure in the saints for the internet and telecommunications, when I looked a bit I found that this is probably covered by Santa Clara:

Therefore, Pope Pius XII wanted to offer the blessing and protection of the Church for this new technology. Thus, in 1958 he published the Apostolic Letter proclaiming Santa Clara Patroness of Television.
It proclaims that the Church supports technological innovation, advancement, and recommends the use of modern technology for the proclamation of the Gospel. He recognizes that television is capable of both good and evil, so he wants it to have a patron saint for spiritual protection.
