Steemit reputation

So I'm new and still learning about Steem and Steemit.

I assume that you may or not may be as familiar with Steem as I am (not) if so, here's a quick little explanation about Steem reputation!

Your reputation on Steem is based on your encagement with the platform, the knowledge you bring and the way you socialize/get involved in this platform. So you're just starting with Steem and wonder what that (25) is behind your name. In my case: 'Dutchryan(25)', that (25) is your reputation. It may go up or down based on your actions, encagement and for the "good" posts you make.

I've seen people with (0) on here, which you probably get because of self promotion for some sort of Steem farming scheme or being rude, ruining the platform in some kind of way. And I've seen people at like (48),which means that they probably:
-are highly active
-encage a lot
-make good content
-been around for a long time now
-are staff members (not sure if they have higher ratings because of the fact that they made this)

So every 'noob' or 'newb' starts with (25) reputation and will probably end with (25), because they lack dedication to the platform or are inactive.

I hope that I've learned you a bit more about Steem and if I was wrong at any point in this post, please correct me in the comments. I'll look into it and get some more knowledge!
