THERE WAS A RECOVERY, YOU WERE NOT PART OF IT.

The following post is my opinion and not fact.

Anyone who disagrees with my thought (there was a recovery) are the people who did not take part in it. I know my statement above is hard to believe, especially if you were not part of the recovery.

I believe we are living in a change of ages. Most of us grew up in the industrial age, where there was a need for human labor. Entering the information age, which I believe took place in the year 2000, the need for human labor has diminished, at what seems like an exponential rate. The information age is about increasing technology, that will eventually replace many humans in the job force. Anyone who does not have the skill set to compete in the information age will be left behind.

Even if President Trump wants to MAGA by bringing back industrial age jobs. With technology, many of the jobs will not come home. While the factories might come back to the USA, jobs will not come back. Because workers are being replaced by technology. Look at the fast food industry. With mandatory minimum wage laws popping up around the nation, jobs will become mechanized quicker than most realize. This is just the beginning. Let´s not forget safety. Workers comp is a huge expense to all employers. With automation the need for a huge work work force will not be needed. Businesses will save money on labor costs. President Trump´s plan to MAGA looks great on paper. But is it realistic?

Let´s look at past history of the USA, where there have been major shifts in the job market. When the USA left the colonial age and entered the industrial age, many of the farm hands were reallocated into manufacturing. With mechanization of the farming industry, there was not as much of a need for farm hands. They were never missed or needed when they went into industrial age jobs. Both ages, colonial and industrial needed a huge labor force of workers, a labor force that is not needed in the information age.

However, this is not the case with the information age. The information age is all about having skilled workers geared towards the information age. Most of the industrial age workers do not have skills or the mind set to adapt to the information age, where they can compete for high tech jobs. This group is left behind and will never experience a recovery.

Instead of trying to MAGA by bringing back industrial age jobs. President Trump should promote a national campaign to retrain industrial age workers for information age jobs. We are in a global market place whether we like it or not. It´s better to have high paying information age jobs, over low paying industrial age jobs. Skilled labor is being replaced by technology. There is no longer a need for a huge skilled manual labor force in the information age. Retraining industrial age manual workers would be a better idea. Making America Great Again would happen by educating American´s for information age jobs.

Educators and parents need to convey this point of view to children and students. I understand a college education is expensive. However, it´s expensive if you get a crappy education not geared towards the information age. A degree geared towards the information age will allow you to get gainful employment, where you will be able to pay back student loans.

I guess it´s perspective. For the people people who can adapt to their surroundings, will prosper in the information age. The people who can not adapt, will feel there was no recovery.

Technology will enter construction too.
