Minister Gustavo Gonzalez Lopez accused him of carrying a rifle, ammunition, a grenade and a detailed map of Caracas. They have more than 20 months awaiting trial. The funny thing is that the operation in which they are arrested, called OLP (Operative for the Liberation of the People), was an operation carried out to combat common crime and not for political issues or national security. If they (the government) had actually known of the existence of an "American mercenary", the operation would have been executed by the political police, but the truth is that Joshua Holt and his wife were in the wrong place and at the wrong time.
