Biodegradable bank card madness

in informationwar •  6 years ago

Lets have a look at the value of Dutch Main Stream Media.

I went to nu.nl one of our most common used news outlets on the net. It's gratis and covers everything that is 'popular' it does NOT have a search engine, so if you really need specific news then you tend to waste a lot of time to scroll trough 'news' that you don't even care about or is just to bad to even read the headline.

That said in less time then it took to write the previous sentence this article popped on my screen:

NU.NL Triodos komt met biologisch afbreekbare betaalpas

Translation of the headline: Triodos announces biodegradable bankcard.

Really, this is news people. Dutch NEWS!
No of course not, it is sneaky hidden advertising at work to waste peoples time and energy, and to cash in in that wasted time. And they just put it between all the other 'news' it's not easy to tell the difference from the headlines, even though we have rules regarding to product placement (actual laws) that forbid this kind of practice. If something is advertisement then it has to be clearly recognizable as such. This Main Stream Media outlet doesn't care. Greed is more important in 2018

We have a special commission for this: Reclame commissie
reclamecode.nl
But they, for some reason, turn a blind eye to this. As this happens time and time again and nothing is ever done about it.

Now, lets have a look at this biodegradable promise.

The bankcard is made from cornstarch and sugarcane. Isn't that a nice thing to do from your bank?
millions of people in poverty starve to death of malnutrition and your favorite bank lures customers in with perverse bank cards that where made of food grade materials.

FOOD. How does a bank that prides itself for 'ethical banking' justify this to be ethical?

I mean almost every other bank card is made of paper (recycled paper) with a thin later of transparent plastic. But to make a card out of FOOD is more biodegradable and more ethical then recycled paper? And sure there are cards made of plastic as well. But paper is an abundant source of recycled material. And look how much plastic waste is polluting the planet. They could have chosen to recycle plastic. But no, your ethical bankers need to make cards from food.

While building big buildings, driving in big polluting cars, living in big villa's. Eating the food most people can't afford. But all of this does not enter the article on the most common news outlet of our country.

A double whammy.

This has to be repeated so that people get the picture

News that even ain't news but blatant advertising about a 'ethical bank' that lures new customers in with bank cards that are made from FOOD. In a world where people starve to dead every day.

Plastic dump as large as France, Germany, Spain together

What nobody tells us either, is that 'biodegradable plastic' still takes 10 years or more to decompose when exposed to rain and direct sunlight, and much longer when stacked on a large heap, where only the outer layer is exposed to the lelements of nature. And it does not have a nutritional value during that period at all. Where paper decomposes in a matter of weeks and even worms feed on it.

How do the Venezuelans manage to eat? deaths from malnutrition

Dear Triodos bankers, please have a look at the world we live in before you claim ethical banking.
Don't turn ethics into a buzz word that is merely used to trap customers into your bank.

And Nu.nl, shame on you for presenting blatant advertising as if it is news. This is one of the the lowest forms of 'Journalism'. It simply should not be done.

these global banksters continue to amaze me, as well as the uninformed and ever hungry "consumer citizen". They all parade around looking for the next "solution" to cash in on.. if anyone thinks a genuine, real solution to fix even one small problem our world faces will come from the conglomerate monster that is Banking.. well they've clearly been drinking the fluoride.
Great post Bif :) glad I caught it

I'm glad you liked this post @amariespeaks.

All we can do is catch these perversions and bounce them back at them.

What strikes me, is that they are so disconnected from reality
that they truly think they are doing something good

Wakey wakey! :D

LOL definitely time to wake up!
