Conspiracy

If I were to say to you
since the start of time
A shadow creeping on our view
within the ageless rhyme.

In the pages that we press
there moves a darker side
conspiracy? perhaps. confess
the countless times they lied.

Pawns upon a chess board, we
And played - we're so naive.
For in the dark you're blind to see
the movement that they weave.

In light and truth they turn away
our sole defense to see.
for helpless pawns we cannot stay
And freedom beckons me.
