Interesting that he was the only one they didn't scalp.

If he had been competent (he wasn't a very good General), and brought these guns, the battle would have turned out very differently....

Yup true that, and he had his heavy weapons. Custer had shamed him.

I was recently looking at a huge book that a historian spent many years researching on and it looked like the ultimate source. I've got that on the back burner. Might have to borrow some bucks from you. lol. there HAS to be something in there that you don't know!
