sir smithlabs! Isn't that the newspaper that Jeff Bozos bought? Might be kinda hard to break them.

The lawsuit is for the purchase price that the Washington Post was sold for Fairly recently. If he wins basically he'll own the Washington Post. That would be a great way for the conservatives to gain Traction in the mainstream media is to sue them to death, and take over!

Even if it doesn't knock them out it'll make them a lot more careful the next time! It'll do the kid a lot of good to; I think he just paid for his college!

The First Amendment only protects the media if they are right. If they are accurate, they are safe, but it doesn't protect them if they're wrong they have no protection against libelous statements they make!

And this was just about as libelous as you can get. Their normal place to hide is that they're lying about a public figure; but this kids is not a public figure. So they can't hide where they normally do! I think he's got them.

If he wins it also be a warning to the rest of the mainstream media that they better start being careful about libel; because that is a way that they could be broken!

sir smithlabs! yeah but with Jeff Bezos being the owner I don't think it's going to hurt them but it should send a good message to the rest though.

No one has unlimited funds, a quarter of a million dollars is not chump change. Also, the judge could triple the payout, if he finds intent. Since intent is obviously present....

haha! sir smithlabs, did you see the lates figures for Bezo's wealth? That is definitely chump change to him. But it will be interesting to watch since you're too scared to look into the Oklahoma Big Foot phenomenon!

Separate businesses need to carry their own weight, even for a rich man. Those loosing money, usually get sold.

of course smithlabs, it just depends on how he takes this, if its' all about politics then the amount is nothing to him, I don't know how liberal he is though so he may see it as bad for business.

It will be interesting. I am sure he will fight, hard, but he is in a bad legal spot! Reporters think they can say anything in safety, due to the First Amendment. It does not protect them if they commit liabel!

I think the Washington Post will learn this simple lesson soon, and it will be a Very costly lesson!

sir smithlabs! well I hope so and hope that it sends a strong message to the other media!
