                Even more so, shorter is a lower center of gravity, that is an advantage in Judo. I watched a girl a couple of inches taller, and 20 pounds lighter in class; do a hip throw on a guy over six foot, and under 200 pounds. The guy was in the Judo Club, but the throw was perfect, and he missed the break fall move! He went out on a stretcher...she cried.

                The instructor told her it was NOT her fault, HE missed his break fall.
