Judge Gives No Jail Time To Imran Awan, Attorney Claims He Was Building ‘Women’s Shelter’

Did the Judge find Awan GUILTY or NOT GUILTY?

A federal judge declined to give jail time to former Democratic IT aide Imran Awan Tuesday, saying he has “suffered enough” at the hands of politicians “at the highest levels of government.” In addition, the Department of Justice said it did not find any evidence that supported criminal charges.

Judge Tanya Chutkin gave Imran three months of supervised release. Imran’s attorney had hoped to avoid the supervision, indicating Imran wanted to go back to Pakistan: “By ending this today, you will allow Hina to build her family wherever she chooses and allow Imran to visit his father’s grave and secure his legacy,” the attorney said.

The two paragraphs above contain contradictory statements: 1) the Department of Justice said it did not find any evidence that supported criminal charges, and this suggests a NOT GUILTY verdict; 2) Judge Tanya Chutkin gave Imran three months of supervised release, and this is a SENTENCE, which would be associated with a GUILTY verdict.

If Awan was found GUILTY, despite no EVIDENCE to support criminal charges, we all should be concerned that Judge Tanya Chutkin gave him a sentence. Perhaps it is time to investigate and determine the competency of this judge!

This GUILT vs. INNOCENCE discrepancy existed earlier, as the following quote and article shows. The DOJ contradicted the assertions of House Sergeant-at-Arms and the House Chief Administrative Officer. Among these two authority (House Security versus DOJ), one has impaired judgement. Who? That needs to be determined by an impartial, non-partisan jury, who can examine whether more than two members of the DOJ have reviewed the evidence and conclude that is does not supported criminal charges. It is clear that the Sergeant-at-Arms and the House Chief Administrative Officer assessed that the evidence supports criminal charges. SOMEBODY is INCOMPETENT, WILLFULLY NEGLIGENT or IS ABUSING THEIR AUTHORITY.

IMRAN AWAN CANNOT BE BOTH GUILTY AND INNOCENT: That’s the rot at the heart of the Awan case: The Department of Justice (DOJ) says it found no evidence the Pakistani former IT aide abused his access to the congressional computer networks or committed procurement fraud, while the House Sergeant-at-Arms and the House Chief Administrative Officer warned Congress that he was “an ongoing and serious risk to the House of Representatives.”

The more interesting twist here, though, is the fact President Donald Trump a month ago specifically and directly warned DOJ not to let Awan off the hook, or his chief congressional patron, former Democratic National Committee Chairman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. There are no known Russian connections to the Awan case, so it could be the spark that moves the president to take action against DOJ.
