As a human activity, art is highly subjective, because it depends so much on the experience of an individual, wheather it is an artist or a viewer. And while in sciences it is possible to fact-check thing (even in a social sciences, as proven in the brilliant book Impostures Intellectuelles by Alan Sokal and Jean Bricmont), for the art you have to have a criteria. And the first step in developing criteria, must be rejecting the criteria imposed by the corporate media and official ‘institutions’ of propaganda, all under the control of financial plutocracy. Do not accept ‘art performances’ without any sensible articulation of human experience. Instead, turn to the artworks that appeals to you. The one that shouts a message of humanity and engagement.
