    Sounds like they failed to file some paperwork, no doubt this will be resolved with the child staying in the US, looks like some fearmongering. Legal immigrants are not generally at risk of deportation. That's only something that happens to people who have violated immigration laws, "illegal aliens" not "immigrants".
