Our Orwellian Society

The predictions made by George Orwell in his Nineteen Eighty-Four novel seem to have come to pass, well they weren't necessarily predictions then, but we could view them as such today. This is what happens when one side of the political spectrum wants to win the ideology war, and through out history that side has always been the radical and extremist left. This is one of those lessons in history people keep forgetting, from ancient Rome to Communist China, Communist Soviet Union, to Hitler's National Socialist party. The only way to beat people on the right, is to silence them, either by way of violence or by censorship. I'm refereeing to the true right, individualists, constitutionalists, and even anarchists, those you hold the rights of the individual above that of the group. These are folks on the right, and to make it easy for you to remember, those on the right are for human rights, which supersedes rights passed down or observed governments. Just because people vote for something does not make it moral or just, especially when that vote infringes on your human right, it's also called tyranny.

We are currently at an ideological impasse when it comes to our global society, where we have the tech giants who control all modern day communication having chosen a political side. This time it's probably far worse than when it began with just censorship within a small community or just one country, it now is a global means of censorship. The only constant is that it's exactly the same side pushing for the silencing of anyone who does not bow down before the alter of political correctness, the left. They call everything that opposes their ideology as hate speech, and anyone who does not comply is labeled a bigot and or racist, any action to silence them is then completely acceptable. I don't think it was any different under Hitler, anything opposing their ideology was an act of opposition that was met with force. So what happens when the left can no longer silence the other side, because they found alternatives like Steemit, or platform where you have the freedom to say what you want to? Well that's when they start doing what they have done in the UK, where free speech no longer exists and you can get arrested for saying the wrong thing.
