I wrote three days ago that the Idlib offensive will start soon and today we see the developments that confirm what I wrote.

First, the UN reported that 350 thousands civilians are moving towards the border with Turkey (which indicates that the leaflets dropped by the Syrian airforce were taken seriously), then we saw the Syrian Army taking control of Tall Kahtrah, Abu Jurayf, Noahiyah Gharbiyah and Noahiyah Sharqiyah.

The territory is still contested with the rebels claiming that they've got back Abu Jurayf under their control. Here's a video of the rebel forces attacking the position of the Syrian Army in Abu Jurayf with the GRAD rockets:

The offensive is not completely developed. These attacks are designed to test the rebels forces and their response in the region.

The government forces continued with the shelling of the rebel positions in the Western Aleppo but no advances were reported in that area yet.

I expect a stronger push by the Syrian Army towards the M5 highway by the end of this week.
