Google and Facebook slide further into the abyss! They are selling our information , and keep trying to own our souls, so they can, IMHO, sells our souls also!
They will not stop, until they are stopped! First step, stop using their services. Next, move to the competition, duckduckgo for a search engine: steemit, weku, or mind; for social media. Lastly, feed them false information deliberately. If we can taint the information that they sell about us, the value of that information must fall, as a direct result. IF we can poison that information, it will become useless. 90% of their income is from selling this information, and if we remove 90% of their income, they will be in real trouble.

So search for speedos, golf clubs, running shoes, engine parts, and racing boats....
It will drive them to distraction for sure, and make their information sales go away! Be sure to search for stuff you have no interest in, it will destroy their database!

Go to a google search. Open the first three responses, and put in differing data. They have to accept hand typed input, as gospel.
So load them up! Go search for pot stocks, and enter garbage! :)
Then have fun. If you find a google executive's email, you can double your fun....

If you use android, or the browser Chrome, google is harvesting everything you do, directly, as they own both.
Use duckduckgo,com for a search engine, and it will protect you some.
That said, anything you put on steemit or weku becomes a permanent record, available to all.

No, each time you sign onto the internet, the android reports to google and tells them everything you did since the last report in.
Apple does not act any better. the new ones include face recognition, and it is easy for apple to download this data. That is a nightmare to think about!

I don't know of any other choices. I have been looking for a Linex based phone, but no joy yet.
In the interim I have disabled all automatic functions, including location and automatic updates. Every few weeks, I un-install every application I can find, and return it to factory original programming.
I can't stop them, but I will slow them down by destroying their sneaky uploads, repeatedly. It makes them have to keep patching their data base together too.
Apple is actually more of a danger because they are recording much more private information. I considered changing to Apple, until I found that out! Now there is NO WAY now!

It is really nice to see You Here on Steemit, I know how low you are on RC! So make the replies short as possible, and they will go further! Trashed again on buying SBDs, but I just bought a book on how to do it....
