Never again, I Agree, LOL!

I have never heard of a brake system rusting out. Send some pictures.

Bearings done, about a four hour job. Fixed the problem, so time well spent.

Well the people who've done the annual inspections here said the brakes were all rusty but didn't say what part and I haven't taken the wheels off or looked underneath at anything. I do know that the callipers look like a rusted hunk of metal from looking at them from the outside through the spokes.

ALL callipers are rusty, they get hot. They are a very thick casting, so surface rust is not a problem. You need to be sure to avoid that garage in the future, they are not an honest shop!

You can blast them and powder coat them, and they will not rust in the future. I wouldn't, bother, but you can if you like!

ok thanks for the information sir smithlabs. I'm almost afraid to ask what plans you have for the weekend. Probably something quite nefarious.

Have to look over a 9 passenger van for my niece. With the new addition they need a bigger car for five carseats.

Need to finish the install on the mini split system and drill a 2.5 inch hole (through 6 inch cement) for the grey water drain addition for my Sister's tiny house.

Just coasting. Probably won't get to the repair on the small trailer. It needs a new deck and lights.

A 9 passenger van? jeez. How are you going to drill that hole?

Yes, they have 5 kids now; five car seats, and two adults....

I bought a 2.5 inch diamond hole saw, and I will use my 1/2 inch hammer drill to push it through.

Ok, I don't know what you mean by hole saw, is it a bit? Who taught you how to explain things?

A hole saw is a piece of pipe, with teeth on the end. In this case a 2.5 inch pipe, with Diamond teeth. There is a normal bit in the center to hold it steady called a pilot bit, this pilot bit is a long masonary bit.

It will put a 2.5 inch hole through a foot of cement.
