We have been blessed by a visit of the First Lady of Venezuela! Her Husband was duly elected according to their Constitution, and is involved in what is close to Civil War with the outgoing Socialists Dictator.
“Eighty percent of the population in Venezuela has no power. They are trying to break our morale,” Ms. Rosales said today. “They want to submerge us in eternal darkness. But let me tell you that there is light, and the light is here.”
Venezuelan Interim President Juan Guaido is taking great risks, and is fighting hard to restore Venezuela to it's previous position as the most affluent Country in South America. After it's brush with Socialism, it is destitute, with 80% of the country blacked out. Part of this is punative by the outgoing Dictator, but most of it is grid damage from lack of funding of repairs.
A very concise analysis of the problems in Venezuela came from the Whitehouse:

Once the wealthiest country in South America, years of massive wealth confiscation, suppressed free speech, and rigged elections have brought the country to the brink of ruin. Today, nearly 90 percent of Venezuelans live in poverty. In 2018, hyperinflation in Venezuela exceeded a staggering 1 million percent.
It is a concern to me that we have a portion of our voting population so brainwashed by public school, that they think that Socialism works! When in fact Socialism destroyed an afluent Country like Venezuela in just a few decades. They went from significant excess for her citizens under Capitalism; to a starving, oppressed population under Socialism. Socialism does NOT work, Ever! Socialism always crashes and burns, and destroys every country that tries it out; 100% of the time!
Statement from the White house:
Venezuelan Interim President Juan Guaido is a tremendous leader working hard to free his country from the grips of a socialist dictatorship. Today, President Donald J. Trump welcomed his wife, Interim First Lady Fabiana Rosales, to the White House.
The outgoing (not by choice) Dictator is blocking Humanitarian Aid, and still killing citizens there! It is TIME and past Time for the USA, and The UN to enter this country, and find this scum vermin! He is now officially guilty of war crimes, against his own people. The minimum response needs to be Prison.
This is just another small reminder of WHY WE should stop considering Socialism as a real option here! Socialism means the inevitable Death of our Republic, and the end of all prosperity here in the USA! If we go socialists, we are dead, as sure as Gravity!

They have had legal elections, and he was voted out. The new government has been recognized by many countries, including us! :)
