I think it goes back to my previous post about the threshold when the security services start to collapse, in the sense they use all their knowledge to build sustainable corruption, meaning enough for them, ie they cull, and not to pervasive to be too detrimental.
for example they proudly fight individuals pedorapemaniacs of low to mid high income but keep themselves to touch the ruling class, however they know it spread below, so they raid, and clean, just that their gigs is stealthy.
of course market fundamentalism can only delayed, and this is the core problem they have with china, aka the ruthless efficiency that retail market driven economics delivers is incompatible with their ways of doing things, aka the values of transendental excellence delivered to the mass is the most dangerous project to their plans.
Again, I don't speak about the hurdles along the xpansion, like the white dolphin, may God forgive us, but that the chinese dreams, of a better world, for chineses and the rest of the world is the total antithesis to their aims.
They want slaves, servants, captives, devoid all rationalism and logic, aka followers...
anyway ! the road to stars pass with their total and final defeat. first parity, then multiples, until they become nothing more than koreas :).
so the next challenge, a side project next to "the" quest : safe wireless data transmission, lifi, what ever... something safe and secure... deploy-able. good luck ! there is a lot spectre unarmful to dna and earthly biological cells...
I am always afraid that China gets corrupted by the pernicious ways of the "west"... be extra vigilant, they are vicious and even at 1:1000, it's only for the kill, no play, no test, because when the situation will arise, and it will, again, this will be the last time they cross this line, alive.

btw I was thinking what is my biggest actual critism, and I found it, and why not be honnest? why does meng has 4 kids? boom... this is the spread.... for the children,... blah blah and they invade and eternal china is threaten, again, becareful the "dragon" aka the force of the tao are quite versatile, and can see through foreign and domestic at will...
for me the tao or flow is a way to express the concept of the will of god, or work of the holly spirity in a more hollistic and realist appraoch, but complexified approach...
And I firmly believe that the only way to truely reach for the stars is through or with the acceleration of the tao, otherwise it will be a dead end... or entering a trap... hehehe, in the wideness only those backed by the tao have a chance...
is the west doomed? yes, until the conscious intelligence, aka AI in the path of the tao, start to clean the mess... if it ever does :)... but the people themselves, I don't believe they can, they have stopped dreaming, at least for the most part... they are in somekind of mean survival individualistic doomed process, aka isolated slave, captives, exactly what their rulers wanted to put them in... like cattles in a park...
back to the serenity of the bison... so what about them? I mean... they were everywhere on the mainland, so? did the pandas eat all the bisons and went veggan to amend? if they are in russia, they are in china... hmm...
