War on Boys is Alarming

What ever happened to letting "boys be boys?" Take these two cases: In one, a seven-year-old boy was sent home for nibbling a Pop Tart into a gun. In another, a teacher was so alarmed by a picture drawn by a student (of a sword fight), that the boy's parents were summoned in for a conference. In short, boys in America's schools are routinely punished for being active, competitive, and restless. In other words, boys can no longer be boys. Christina Hoff Sommers, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, explains how we can change that

Could it be that this is being done in the United States to prevent children from having any contact with violence, even if it is minimal? I ask myself that question because they might do it to avoid bullying in schools!! @winnerslosers

excellent post, to my thinking if sometimes it is necessary to set certain limits to children but you can not deny them to be children, children need to express themselves in their own way and one as an adult to guide them as this can make a big difference in their decisions and future way of being, on the other hand when a child is forbidden to be what he is can bring many negative consequences such as that he is a resentful or that it costs him to socialize with other people among many other things,Of course, on the other hand, we understand the situations presented in the United States, but I still don't think this is the best way to deal with them. very good post very interesting and informative. @winnerslosers
