I have heard, and believe, that the people who go that direction are people who suffer from parental abandonment trauma and want "daddy" to provide for them.

Or some of them simply believe they can be the one to decide the rules and it becomes a path to power.

I have heard Free Market People are those who like others to suffer.
I don't necessary beleive that.
Neither do I believe that "voluntaryists" are psychopathic egoists.

It could be said that free market people have the opposite abandonment issue.
And want the govern-cement to make things fair.
However, free market people donate more to charity... by a lot.

Yeah, because it is way more needed there. (btw. Where do you have those numbers from?)
You could say the difference is that "Free Market People" have the illusion that they alone know how to use money the best, while the other side has the illusion that a few thousand specialists working for the government know the best how to use the money.

The numbers come from reports from charities broken down by various things, especially political affiliation. But, thinking about it today, all those reports are probably buried as they might tell a bad picture.
The problem with the illusion is that both sides are delusional.
The "communists" want free stuff from the govern-cement, and usually rely on govern-cement money for their living. But they never speak about it in terms of them, they always coach it in terms of helping the poor, or providing a safety net.
The "free market" people believe that govern-cement is doing what they say they are doing. Yes, we think we should help the poor.
However, what the govern-cement is doing is helping themselves. The poor need houses? Well, lets get our friend, the contractor, to build some new houses at "govern-cement" prices. While (Catherine Austin Fitts) was saying, we have enough foreclosures on our books, we could repair and upgrade them for much less.
The govern-cement ALWAYS gets what it wants. They aren't dummies, so if you see something that looks like they are being stupid with money, change your thinking, because it is happening deliberately.
So, the "free market" people are delusional because they believe that govern-cement is just incompetent but are doing what they are saying.
Everyone should stop paying taxes until the DOJ finds the missing money.
But then we would find that these govern-cement agencies don't run off of taxes.
