SCOTUS minority decision brings together Gorsuch and Ginsburg as they Join forces on a Dissent decision opposing double jeopardy in our court system! This is an embarrassment to our Republic!

They are correct, even though this is a strange pair who seldom agree on much. I find myself in agreement with them, over dual jeopardy! This is also how I understand that the Founding Fathers, who wrote it to begin with, intended it to work! The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are both restricting documents; restricting the power of the US government!
When the set this up, they intended that the government could dispense Justice, but not tyranny! The ability to continue to prosecute an innocent person is a view into tyranny, they was offensive to those who formed this Nation! No Republic can survive their own government oppression of the innocent; in the name of Justice!
What they wanted too avoid was a government that could try a citizen; and if they did NOT get the result they wanted, try the same person again for the same offense, until they finally got the conviction they wanted!
I offended both liberal and conservative Judges to support this double jeopardy decision, and I am ashamed to say that seven other judges allowed this to occur!
What is the cost to our National soul?

Today they brought a former Female aid up to be deposed, again; on Russian Collusion, and their entire line of questioning was sex, not job related! Since this has been found to be baseless after Years of investigation; but the liberals did not like the outcome. Ironically we now move into the tyranny of double jeopardy to try to make something from a proven nothing!
Our founding Fathers would be PISSED OFF over this feces!

Those in power want the ability to "get" anyone, even if it takes a few tries. Just find the right judge and sympathetic jury, after a few tries they'll nail them. Glad to see this being challenged.

They agreed that once tried in state court, they should not be able to be tried again in federal court for the same offence.
