time to drop the duopoly

in infrastructure •  7 years ago

trump is an idiot, but he wasn't in office in 2015, and shouldn't be brought into the discussion as the cause of anything related to infrastructure issues when he was not in office, unless it is in relation to the real fact that he and those of his economic class have unilaterally allowed the infrastructure of our nation to go to hell by off shore accounts and legalized tax evasion, which is a staple of neo-conservatives and neo-liberals alike. we can all join hands in knowing that our president does not have our best interests at heart, but it denies the reality that neither party cares for us when blame for things he didn't do (or more specifically both parties engage in, i.e. a 700 billion discretionary military budget) is placed on him. positive train control is an infrastructure issue, most absolutely. it has been shown that it would have prevented the philadelphia derailment in 2015. it is a physical implementation, and the very definition of infrastructure. it probably would have prevented this most recent amtrak event in washington state, unless it turns out this crash was intentional. if your hatred of trump is making you think that infrastructure is a bad thing, remove your head from the clouds. even a broken clock is correct a couple times a day. and the congressional mandate for that infrastructure to be installed on all tracks was 2015. so yes, there is most absolutely, certainly and without question an infrastructure issue. democrats and republicans kill children in foreign nations, every day, and don't care about infrastructure here. drop them.
