In one of my travels, I happened to pass by a big vessel which, per information, is called ferrocement tank. According to the person I interviewed, it is a project introduced by a cooperative to them to assist the local government in providing adequate supply of potable water to its constituents in the different barangays.
This is how inventive we are humans and no wonder, we are fast pacing towards development. We can make use of scrap materials into something useful and beautiful. In the Philippines, we have this so-called "Rampa Basura". It is like a fashion show of which apparels and costume used by the candidates are made up of waste materials (basura) re-used for another purpose. During yuletide season, you can see decors which are made of recyclables. In jails, our brothers in the prison are good at it, making lanterns out of plastic bottles and cellophanes.
If only we humans are not abusing our talents, earth could be a more beautiful place to live. Our ingenuity can lead us to the heights of our dreams.
